Toxic Risk - A mashup based on Google Maps, most recent Toxic Release Inventory data and school locations in the U.S. The interactive maps allow the visitor to search for toxic facilities in their neighborhoods and near schools. Each toxic facility is linked to a database that gives the number of schools within one mile and 5 miles. Chemicals released are linked to Scorecard for more detailed risk and health information. Each facility's history of releases are easily found through embedded links to RTK Net.
North Coast Geography Network - Aboriginal Yurok Territory GIS map layer and current land ownership/landuse. You are free to download the GIS map layers that we developed to create these maps. You will also find links to our free tutorial so that you can learn to make maps like this yourself.
