BOGUS EMAILS NOT FROM MAPCRUZIN
Lately we have seen some emails that look as though they come from mapcruzin.com but they don't. These bogus emails often have viruses or worms attached. So far, we can find no way to prevent this.
Anyone can quite easily go into their email program, change their identity and send emails that look like they come from someone else. Also, some of the worms and viruses work this way, collecting email addresses and using some of them for the "from" email address and others for the "to" email address.
I urge you to make sure that you have both an antivirus program and firewall and that you update them very frequently.
Here are examples of recent emails that did NOT come from me:
Dear user of Mapcruzin.com,
Our main mailing server will be temporary unavaible for next two
days, to continue receiving mail in these days you have to configure
our free auto-forwarding service.
Advanced details can be found in attached file.

The attached file, of course, was a virus that my antivirus program cleaned when it was received.
Hello user of Mapcruzin.com e-mail server,
Some of our clients complained about the spam (negative e-mail
content)
outgoing from your e-mail account. Probably, you have been infected by
a proxy-relay trojan server. In order to keep your computer safe,
follow the instructions.
For further details see the attach.
Attached file protected with the password for security reasons. Password
is 00186.

three days, if you are still wishing to use it, please, resign your
account information.

For security reasons attached file is password protected. The password
is "00186".

WE DO NOT EVER SEND MESSAGES WITH ATTACHMENTS. IF YOU RECEIVE A MESSAGE THAT LOOKS LIKE IT COMES FROM US AND HAS AN ATTACHMENT, ITS ORIGIN IS ELSEWHERE. DO NOT OPEN THE ATTACHMENT - DELETE THE MESSAGE.
