Caveats

We have made no attempt to apportion the HAP concentrations with respect to their source categories (area, point, mobile, and background). For this project we have used the CEP data that was provided by EPA as a result of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. The database contains concentrations for each of the HAP chemicals by census tract. We are filing a FOIA to obtain additional CEP data that will allow us to categorize the HAP concentrations with respect to their sources.
