Known or Suspected?

Health-Track released new online maps of cancer mortality, TRI and HAP sources of known or suspected carcinogens on the internet 02/26/01 (see http://maps.health-track.org/health-track/default.htm). I was struck by what seemed to be many missing TRI facilities so I mapped all 1998 TRI facilities as a comparison. The Health-Track maps indicate that Santa Clara County, for instance, only has a handful of facilities that release known or suspected carcinogens, yet that county has many dozens of TRI facilities. My gut feeling is that many facilities that release known or suspected carcinogens are missing from the maps, but there is now way of knowing this from the information available at the Health-Track website.
